As chiropractors, we are interested in the function of your nervous system. It is quite literally the connection between your mind and your body. Due to the fact that the brain, spinal cord, and spinal nerves are so fragile, the body is designed so that they are encased in hard bone. Your brain is safely protected by your skull and your spinal cord and spinal nerves are held within your spinal column.
Misalignment in your spine, called subluxation, can put pressure on your spinal cord and spinal nerves. Research at the University of Colorado has shown that the pressure of only 10mm of mercury (the weight of a dime!) will cause significant interference to the transmission of nerve impulses.
What does this mean for you?
It means that if you have a subluxation in your spine, you have interference to the connection between your mind and your body. As a result, you may experience aches, pains, illness and dysfunction.
How We’ll Restore Your Health
To help you feel better, we adjust areas of the spine and joints. There are traditional and instrument-based techniques that we do so with. These include Diversified, Pettibon and ArthroStim®. Additionally, we work on the muscles of the body and have ancillary tools to aid in your care, as well as doing physical rehabilitation.
You’ll be walked through each step of the adjustment before we begin. You’ll know exactly what to expect so you don’t feel any concerns about getting started.
